All about David

Hello! My name is Kenneth David Murdock; I go by David.

I am 31 years old. I like ducks. I love Jesus. I am an author. Please ask me about my stories — I love to talk!

I write primarily fantasy, with a focus on unique worlds, creative magic systems, and elements of horror. I have been writing fiction since I was 15.

I am a Utah native but my heart is in Arizona. I graduated high school and university in Tucson, earning a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona in Psychology. You may notice that I am not currently working in any field related to Psychology.

When I am not hiding in my room building worlds in my head, I can be found volunteering with the BSA, reading just about anything, trying to create my own energy drink, and listening to defunct pop-punk bands from the 2000s.

I work at scout camps over the summer. Sometimes there are “ducks.”

I come from a large family that continues to grow. I am continually seeking to become a better human. I am mildly ADHD, so I run through hobbies like a fast food joint runs through line cooks. One month of intense involvement before utter and complete burnout. (Fun fact: this website was originally built for a voice acting career I’ve since moved on from pursuing — for now.)
